My Prayer for You

More than ever, Christians want a spiritually healthy home, but they don’t know what that looks like or where to start. They may even have good intentions and strong foundations, but they want more, especially for their family.

My prayer is that these resources help you to turn those good intentions and foundations into a family legacy of faithfulness. For although you can’t make your family be faithful, you can prepare them to know how to be faithful and want to. You can create a family vision, character, and culture that draws them in and turns biblical truths into deep personal relationships with Jesus.

I pray that you’ll increasingly walk worthy of your calling (Eph. 4:1). And no calling is greater than helping your family want what they need to be faithful. That’s being a faithful servant who hears, “Well done!” from God and family.

My Passion for You

With God’s help, I love helping people apply biblically-based success principles at both home and work. Although I’m still learning, it’s a privilege to help people personalize practical lessons from God’s Word and my experience as a husband, dad, financial executive, and former executive pastor.

My latest book, HEALTHY Home, along with my first book, Well Done, Mom & Dad!, flow from pursuing my passion: to hear Him say, “Well done!” and help others do the same. Although I never intended to write these books or blogs on faith, family, and work leadership, they’re part of how God has called me to equip and build up my family and the church.

My story (and I’m sticking to it)

My story is one of simple obedience. When God called me to surrender my dream job as CFO and part-owner of CiCi’s Pizza and serve my church full-time, I simply obeyed. And when God led me to leave my pastoral role, He soon gave me new ministries at work, church, and as an author.

I’ve also been blessed to have my family leadership featured in Stories of True Financial Freedom: God’s Impact in Real Lives by Crown Financial Ministries, and my work leadership featured in Your Signature Work: Creating Excellence and Influencing Others at Work by Dianna Booher.

My sweet wife and I serve families through our church’s preschool ministry, adult small groups, content at timalba.com, free personal coaching, and seminars. We have three kids, three “bonus” kids (our kids’ spouses), and the world’s six greatest grandkids (not that I’m biased or anything).
